Contest 182: Use my head
I had an MRI scan last week, which produced some astonishing images of the inside of my head - far clearer than I could ever have imagined. Apart from simply wanting to share this amazing technology with you, I thought it would be an interesting Challenge to colour it in - and perhaps to add any extra thoughts you feel may be needed in there. Unusually, the starting piece this week takes the form of a movie: pick a frame or two from it that appeals to you. The movie is here. It goes rather fast, so you'll need to step through it to find a frame you like. ![]() |

Nice for you to be you back Steve, but I'm afraid that I'm not taking this week's challenge up as I find the image make's me queasy. Michael ![]() |

Steve, it maybe good to have you back (actually it's great) but it's amazing to see inside your Head!! That is a way cool piece of footage!! I am not weird or freaky, just intrigued!! I had a procedure done in the summer which I watched on screen and it was like a journey to another planet, really cool! p.s. keep up the healing process. Claire |

Glad you're back Steve. I 'enlarged and enhanced' the image (as they do in C.S.I.) and found this virus hiding in a corner. Could he be the cause of the trouble? ![]() |

Don't think I will be able to join this week, we are off to the Marlborough Sounds for 8 days. Only boat access, and most unlikely I will have internet. Have fun everyone. |

Sorry about the second entry, not another participation so much as an observation of the first frame in the movie...looks like you have Snowmen on the mind Steve!! ![]() ![]() |

Glad to hear your doing better, Steve. Sorry I wasn't able to do a "get well" card for you as I was out of pocket for the week. Welcome back! It seems they found what part of the brain conceives ideas for the Friday Challenge material. In frame 7 you will notice the "Light the Lamp" challenge still on Steve's mind. That Caplin ... always thinking! Glad you are okay man! ![]() |

Re: Contest 182: Use my head
I love the work submitted so far, but being new to this movie lark, can anyone explain how you save the file to edit in PS. I've managed to click through the frames, of what appears to be an incredibly large brain type memory bank however, all I can find is save as source, but no JPEG option. Experts help me please, cos I'm eager to transform the grey matter into colour matter. Cheers Nick |

Allowing so many people to jump inside your brain, Steve, is a true act of courage. I'm in ! I wish I could help you Nick, but I'm having the same difficulty. We'll both wait for the answer. |

Re: Contest 182: Use my head
Hi Nick, not sure if this is the best way but what i did was stop the movie where I wanted it then I pressed "Print Screen" on the key board which takes a screen shot and then in PS I went/ File/ New/ Clipboard/ Paste (ctrl v) and then used the marque tool to select the the scan. Hope that makes sense have been drinking bit too much today!! |

Re: Contest 182: Use my head
Thanks for the help, Elliot. I found the screen shot function and then used "Save As" in the Jpeg format |
