Contest 185: Bond's back
Born2Run drew our attention this week to a new Indiana Jones movie, starring a somewhat advanced Harrison Ford. And it led me to think: is it time they wheeled out Sean Connery to make another Bond movie? And if they did, what sort of high jinx could he get up to at his age? Answers on a poster, please. Just to make the problem a little more tricky, I'd like you to use this portrait of Sean. It's a waxwork, photographed by Flickr member Daniel VDM (thanks, Dan) and what intrigues me about it is that although it may be anatomically correct, there's little sense of life here. Why not? What is this wax model lacking? And can you put the magic element back in? High res is here. |

Born2Run Beat me to it!
All that work, and he beats me to it! This is my first attempt at the Friday Challenge! James Bond has retired to the Scottish island of Jura. One morning a stranger arrives in the Feolin ferry from the neighbouring island of Islay. He is looking for a retired 'civil servant'. He is pointed in the direction of 'Commander Bond', who lives on the uninhabited west coast of the island. Upon meeting Bond, the stranger explains that he is from the 'Ministry of Defence'. Commander Bond immediately realises that he is from Military Intelligence, from 'Box', just off Vauxhall Bridge, on the Thames. The stranger offers the information that they have been approached by a woman who calls herself 'Tracy', and that she claims to be James Bond's wife! I want to see this movie! |

Sorry - my colours have become so desaturated in above post. The lapels in particular are nothing like the original .psd file. |

Re: Contest 185: Bond's back
I'd heard rumors they wanted to get Sean Connery to star as bond in a series of films that later became the Austin Powers trilogy!!! I didn't believe this but after searching through a lot of old movie magazines I got at a car boot sale I found this pre-release image... _________________ Now the hardness of this world slowly grinds your dreams away, Makin' a fool's joke out of the promises we make! |

I tried to think of a suitable villain and I think Bond has his work cut out with this one. Nick |

Bond didn’t know whether it was old age or too much greasepaint that was causing his droop problem. |
