Contest 187: Rebranding
A rather different kind of Challenge this week. I've just had a commission from a trade magazine to produce a full page illustration to accompany a feature on rebranding - when companies change their logo, name, or house style in an an attempt to appear fresh and new.

The article is about rebranding in the catering and hospitality industries, so the illustration should reflect this. It needs to draw the reader into the feature, to give a suggestion of what the story might be about. Not all rebranding exercises are successful, of course, so it might be fun to look at failed attempts.

My final artwork is due in on Monday. You've got until Friday!

I agree James, but at least we don't have our mortgage riding on it!

The files I used for my "NEW" McDonald's, and not a grandchild in sight.

Ops, I forgot my cute little boy from the bottom right corner.

Contest 187: Rebranding
Another brilliant challenge.
The burger chain's pathetic attempt at being 'green' was on my mind, too, but being a veggie I didn't want spend any time working with their logo etc. As Vibeke has created some excellent work on the subject (Well done, it really gets the message across!) I decided to have a go at the trend to sell water as a posh drink. Sort of pointless now that we're urged to dring tap water...

Down on the farm we call rebranding putting lipstick on a pig.

Re: Contest 187: Rebranding
Oooops! I missed the bit about the challenge being linked to the Hospitality Industry (I thought it was just Steve's brief!), so I rebranded some Classic Album Covers. Perhaps those teachers that nag and nag about re-reading exam questions were right after all.

Thanks,
Like your water, where can I get a bottle, and yes a burger chain was a pretty obvious choice, so I thought I'd better get on to it quick.
