Challenge 329: The wurst is yet to come
I know what you're thinking - he went all the way to Austria, and all he brought back was a photograph of the back end of a car park? Well, the truth is (a) I'm still here, (b) I've been too busy to go out during the day, and (c) it's been snowing so hard that going anywhere isn't easy. So the standard tourist shots may have to wait. Anyway, this is the scene behind the studio in which I've been working. Now my school German may be coming back to me, but I can't even begin to figure out what the signs mean - anyone care to offer a translation? Nothing literal, please. Also, the top sign could really do with some visual clue to help explain all that text beneath it. And that wall is just crying out for a mural. Auf wiedersehen! High res is here.  |

Steve, The first sign: Access to this road is limited. Only for people who work here (Niesenbergergasse 20 ...) and their visitors. The second sign: Vehicles parked against the regulations are liable to be towed away at the owner's expense! I really miss the snow (here in Japan). I envy you!

Hilarious entries so far! Actually I think the sign read 'cars must be dumped one at a time. Preference given to those living in Niesenbergerstrasse, ...' There' s a mural on the wall, I swear, but sadly it's covered by the cars.  |

Sorry to use up more space but looking at my post over the w/e I realised I had rushed some of it and wasn't happy. I decided to be a pedant today, correct things and repost. That is not to say Steve or anyone else won't see things I haven't but if you do and let me know, I won't repost. Ted
