					Challenge 335: Developing Da Vinci
This self-portrait of Leonardo Da Vinci is well known, and gives us a good idea of how he looked. It's a line drawing, since without the benefit of photography this is the best Leonardo could get. Is it possible to make this image look photorealistic? Or to modify an existing photograph to create a modern day Leonardo lookalike? I'm after something that would be instantly recognisable as Da Vinci. I may be asking too much... High res is here. ![]() |

Do you want a younger version too? I'm only joking. I'd put this at difficult level 5 (5 the top), but hey we can do it, I mean all of us........ go |

This is the best I can do for now. Perhaps I'll work out how to improve it later on. ![]() _________________ Man cannot change the direction of the wind but he can adjust the sails |

Great entries all so far. Really enjoy your entry Josephine! O'dear Vibeke. What a pain. PS does the ghost on me too, more often now, so tend to save all my stupied WIP versions. Its okay though you can remember what you have done and just shout at it when start again! |

I will have to try and turn a photo into a vinci drawing, must be easier. ![]() _________________ Perfect confidence is granted to the less talented as a consolation prize. |

Luis your image is beautifully done. Trevor, does yours have aspects of Charles Darwin in it? All I see, when I look at this drawing of Leonardo, is Willie Nelson. So Ive borrowed a few parts from Willie and incorporated them in Leo.
