Challenge 391: Bring Walmington to life
I spent a freezing day last weekend at Bressingham Steam Museum, for want of anything else to do on a cold February day in Suffolk. Bressingham is home to one of Suffolk's two Dad's Army museums, dedicated to the long-running British TV series that was filmed nearby. At Bressingham, they've recreated a street in the fictional town of Walmington On Sea. But somehow, it doesn't look like a real street. Why not? Is it the lighting? The road surface? The roof? The lack of people? Can you breathe some life into this exhibit? High res is here

Living in Canada have never seen this series -- rumour has it here in Halifax (sea port) that Wilmington's Post office was a front for a brothel ? Frank ??? |
