					Challenge 400: 2020 vision
Well, here we are at the 400th Friday Challenge. In the past, I've tended to use these milestones to look back, inviting you to create galleries showing off the best of the Friday Challenge from previous weeks and years. A suggestion from Artwel, though, changed my mind. What if we look forward 400 Friday Challenges, to the year 2020? Can you envisage how Photoshop might look at that date? Will we be sculpting using Virtual Reality glasses? Will we be able to ditch the mouse and tablet, enabling Photoshop to read our thoughts directly? Or will it have escaped the screen altogether, allowing us to recolour and rearrange our world at will? No starting image this week. It all comes down to your imagination. Let's see what you can dream up! |

Sounds great, perhaps in the future people will decide that technology is advancing too quickly and it will actually become fashionable to use old technology. People will relive the enjoyment of dial up internet and the challenge of using early versions of photoshop.. _________________ Quote of the day.. Oh Artwel! you want to make our task more difficult ... retro PS! I can do Caveman, or maybe I can't! The walls could also be sort of silica, so could predate the silicon chip
Either-way thanks for your original suggestion, better than my sum of primes, whatever that might come to .
No time to sit and think on the 400th yet from here.... Trevor |

Excellent Anna. 'Fraid I don't have any time this week. Big birthday party tomorrow and then off to Scotland for a re-run next week. Anna, your video and static image are just fabulous! I encourage everyone to check out the high res and zoom in on every little detail. Josephine, love yours too but that Hotchip advisor is downright intimidating. Talk about Big Brother! |

Anna just watched your video, very good but how did you make the text appear like that (the 400th challenge text) is there a preset in AE to do this? ![]() _________________ “Art Is Never Finished, Only Abandoned.” |

Thank you so much everyone Most appreciated
Artwel... I used a series of masks, paths and the Stroke Effect for the text. The chalk stick was animated using keyframes. Ill send you a tutorial via a PM in a sec. _________________ Wicked Witch of the West:I'll get you, my pretty! And your little dog, too! |

Great entries everyone. I was going to do something along the lines of Josephine's entry, but I was not quick enough off the mark. This is not really what I'd hoped for. ![]() |
