					Challenge 414: Potions class
I'm indebted to Nick Curtain for this week's starting image. Nick has recently been on a tour of the Warner Brothers studio near London, where the Harry Potter films were made - it's full of original sets from the movies, and among the images Nick sent me was this view of Professor Snape's classroom where Potions is taught. The scene looks rather lacking in magic, though. Can you bring your CGI skills to bear to liven this one up a little? High res is here.
Note: I'm off to France for two weeks, and will write up this Challenge and next week's when I return. In the meantime, the Forum will be looked after for me by the incomparable David Asch, who will be posting the next couple of Challenges on my behalf. See you all when I get back! Steve |

I am very envious Nick - I am not a Potter fanatic but I confess to buying a book on the sets and costume design etc and enjoyed it more than the films. Bonne Vacances Steve! _________________ I'm not really bad - I just draw that way |

The fantasy of a child can be rather creepy. Her teacher only sees a healthy attendant outside the window

It's well worth a visit Josephine. They have the actual costumes on display and you can stand in the great hall where many of the scenes were shot. I've never seen any of the films, but the visit was for my daughter and she thoroughly enjoyed the three hours there. ![]() |

Beautiful Frank. The atmosphere with the nostalgic sepia turned out very good and brings you in the right mood. Nice books and shoe shadow too! And the hands of course! |

Hi Linda, It's a pity the little boy (your son?) has a text on his T-shirt, because after the horizontal flip you end up with a 'problem'. Nice idea, it looks like the boy came out of the pot. A real floating magician with a beautiful Magic Wand!
