Challenge 897: Grace and Mary
We're back to Malta this week, with a view of this intriguing pair of houses. I've no idea who either Grace or Mary are, or were, but I'd love to see them standing or sitting on their doorsteps. I'd also like to know who owns the window in the middle.

High res is here.

Rebuilding the house is your own personal challenge, Michael.

Lovely stuff Lloyd. You're quick of the mark as usual. Well done.

I'm weekend off. After 3 grueling weeks of planning, I can relax and have a beer...or many...

Couldn't resist the tongue in cheek syndrome...

Oh Loyd!!! You beat me to it. With the same image no less!

Thanks to Mariner for such a simple idea: "Mary Mother of Grace".

I already had Mary and Grace positioned when I read Mariner's idea... I was too lazy to reposition them and start over, so you win.

Thanks Dennis...!

Another Mary mother of Grace.

The neighbourhood has gone completely to pot and gained a very bad reputation.

Kerbside client from Photoshop London.

From the licentious to the virtuous .........

Steve's picture put me in mind of some of the well know Belgian 'beguinages' (convents) where poor house accommodation was provided for single ladies of 'good character'. Many of them made an income from lace making and hand made Belgian lace was much sought after.

Er ....... umm ......... the one at the kerbside?

Thanks for the compliment.

I thought this one was going to be rather dull and then found they were great fun to do.

"Nice composition Mr Caplin!"

If you don't get this, then shame on you. I am not explaining.

This challenge was 100% inspired by a 1976 song by Smokie. It was the first and only idea that came into my mind the instant I saw the image

I do like the night scene, David but the Belgium lace gets my vote. I particularly love the way you've tucked it beneath the glasses.
