With Parliament in meltdown, this seems a good opportunity to wheel out this chocolate Big Ben I photographed in the window of a chocolate shop back in April. Can you apply some heat to this confection? High res is here. |

Somehow feel I haven't quite pulled this off ....... but it's still fun. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

This is about as bad as my photoshopping ever gets, but getting it wrong took quite a lot of time so I'm posting anyway. Much of this unlikely to mean much to non Brits, including perhaps the famous tin. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

But, truly, Chocolate Contenders is a fun idea but lousy Photoshop. It seemed like a great idea at the time and I am perfectly capable of doing it justice but, once I started on the individual wrappers, I realised it would take far, far more work than I was prepared to put in. So I stopped ..... Not deprecation ..... laziness. I don't recognise the faces however the Ferrero Rocher chocolate belongs to the Nutella family This challenge was much harder than I initially thought. I'm not thrilled with it but here it is. _________________ Dorothy: Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore |

I found melting Boris just as a still frame hard enough. BTW I know the Rocher was wrong but, truth to tell, none of the sweets shown come from the Quality Street Family - they are all pixel squid! _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

| DavidMac Director of Photoshop Posts: 5867 Reply | Re: Challenge 915: Chocolate Parliament It looks more squidged than melted. But in all fairness Michael this must be very hard to animate at all, let alone in the incredibly economic frame counts you attempt. I think you have got it as good as you ever could without a far, far greater frame count. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Of course, as a dedicated and detached visual artist, I do hope we are not letting any personal feelings or bias intrude upon our portrayals of a prime minister who, as he reminded his nation upon his exit, was elected with a massive public mandate which he feels duty bound to respect to the very last moment. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

I'm going to be absent from the challenges until either I learn Unreal or it proves too much for me.
