Challenge 998: Back to the museum
I was so impressed by last week's whaling expedition that I thought it could do with being commemorated by the museum. So here we are back in the same room, where by chance there's an empty case awaiting a new exhibit.

Can you supply one?

High res is here.

Wow Ben! A museum of the bizarre.

I am delighted to learn that Grover Krantz is real and not a fiction.

Oh! Frank!

I can’t believe how similar our thoughts are.

Great minds? ………… or fools?

Well Steve, not sure if I should call this one ’simple’ or not. It proved harder than I expected.

When I was a boy I loved museum dioramas.

Some of them, like the London Science Museum, were wonderful, with lovely brass handles you turned to make them come to life.

Some were pretty dire with poor models in unconvincing settings.

Seems this is one of the latter!

Re: Challenge 998: Back to the museum
The Wisbech Museum is fortunate to have the world renowned archaeologist, Prof. Ivor Bonio as its patron. Prof. Bonio is famous for having discovered the world's most intact skeleton of a Centaur (Homo Equus) on the lower slopes of Mount Olympus in October 1878. Only smaller parts of Centaurs have been discovered since then.

Unfortunately there is a legal case pending by the Greek government in the European Court demanding to have the skeleton returned to the museum in Athens.

I started last week's challenge but due to power blackouts, internet outage and other frustrating issues, I didn't finish it. So this week both challenges have been merged

I love the centaur, Gordon.

I was impressed with Mr Krantz during a visit to the Smithsonian. Also Ms. Bardot, the Skinless Man, the nose etc., and the early vibrator are all museum pieces. I like your idea of putting Wisbech history in the local museum.
