Back to the wood fair, and this rather cute bed and bench combination. I was taken by its rustic nature, which has an almost fairy tale quality: you'd expect to see – well, I won't list them all, but I can think of several fairy tales that would be quite happy to include a bed like this.

Show me your best Hans Christian Andersen.

High res is here.

PS I'm off to a Dragon Fest this weekend, which should provide ample raw material for future Challenges.

I can't remember exactly how or when but we have been somewhere near here before. I can remember doing the three bears for something ............. but what?

Sadly Goldilocks isn't Hans Christian Anderson

I think Hans Christian is merely an example not a specification.

That certainly gives more choice, thanks David.

Lot's of you quick off the mark ...... and fun stuff too!

A bit more cutaway for Steve.

May not be our Hans but sort of within the Nordic/Germanic tradition.

Wasn’t sure where I was going with this when I started… ended up being a ‘mash-up’ of “The Emperor’s New Clothes”, “The Princess and the Pea”, and with the toad added, a hint of “Thumbelina.”

The ‘princess’ is perhaps AI... I found it in a google search.

Thanks Loyd and Ben. This one was fun.

However, I've just realised that I got so carried away with adding the details that I completely forgot to make the beds!

This reminds of the manga and comic con fests that Ingrid and I love to visit occasionally. The other visitors are often more of a trip than the expo itself.

Does Carol share your love of the bizarre? Are you accompanied by a hand you can hold if the dragons get too frightening?
