Challenge 1029: Rain in Tangier
A trip to Tangier, Morocco, earlier this year produced little in the way of Challenging images, largely due to the incessant rain, but I did spot this dilapidated little truck. That wheel needs fixing, and the seat is in need of attention. Can you help? And what might it be used to carry? High res is here. |

Completely unhelpful piece of 'useful' information: VRD on the side of the truck almost certainly stands for Voirie et Réseaux Divers (Roads and Utilities Services). Now you know! _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 1029: To the dump
I try to refrain from political commentary, but in view of this week’s events, I am making an exception. Especially with this week’s challenge being a ‘waste disposal’ truck. |

No politics from me. I was struck by the lettering on the side. With apologies to Anna. AS POM'S IMAGINE IT _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Not an entry Steve but, since the election is dominating this week's entries, not so far off topic. Here's one I made earlier ............ ............. seven years earlier .............. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

I'd forgotten you are from down under too. My apologies to you too. To be truthful it was fun putting together all the popular cliché imaginings of Australia. Particularly by someone who last visited in 1974! _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Loyd I take it the background with all the abandoned bumper cars is real. It's really quite spooky. The mist is perfect. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

David, it's one of the Chernobyl photos. I thought it worked well for the disposal truck. btw - I also see/imagine Australia in that manner... |

I'd forgotten you are from down under too. My apologies to you too. I was actually born in Bath, Somerset but my parent were 10 quid poms and I've been here since 1953, guess I qualify as a Fair Dinkum Aussie! |

My entry this week is symbolical: featuring Elon Musk's driverless vehicle "streaking through the landscape" with a "load" of nothingness that distinguishes his master. |
