Challenge 1038: The dinner party
If you ever find yourselves at a loose end in Suffolk, I recommend a visit to Ickworth House, particularly for fans of Downton Abbey as there's a lot of below stairs accommodation to explore.

Upstairs, the dining room is kitted out for a banquet. Of course in the cold light of day it all looks rather sterile; can you add some candles and dinner guests?

High res is here.

Hate to say this Steve but didn’t we do something a few months ago with a very similar room and dining table?

Well, I'm really not sure, but I think May 2020 maybe? I remember because I populated the image with Steve's statues come to life.

They say one of the signs of growing old is a "little while ago" can be anything from a couple of hours to ten years.

I know the feeling ...........

Very different.

Anyway I quite like the idea of having been somewhere close before. Forces me to think afresh and not repeat.

Not really up to standard, but I'm pushed for time this week.

If you could invite anybody to your dinner party, past or present, who would you invite? This is my list. To add some competition, 5 points for each that you can identify.

Thank you Michael.

The viewer sees only what I have done and as far as it goes it's not bad. The difference is that I see all the things I wanted to do but had to leave untouched.

Please don't go blurting them out here. That will simply spoil the fun for the rest of us. Wait 'till the end and see.

I will say only a very musical evening.

100% sure four people.
80% sure one person (I am sure I know, but if so, it's not a great photo).
50% sure two people. (Have more than one option).
0% sure Afro back view. (Only blind guesses).

It's lovely to see Deborah's banner this week.

Thanks, David. I will indeed reveal all the musicians sometime on Thursday. I will however drop a little clue. One of the artists is one of my personal all-time favourites who I have followed since the 70s until very recently when he passed following a short illness. He is probably one of the UK’s most underrated artists, despite having made number-one hits in the UK & abroad and has made a dozen studio albums plus numerous live albums. I have personally met the “Big Big Man” and was fortunate to attend his last ever gig where he picked me out of the audience and gifted me one of the instruments he had played all that tour (before it was common knowledge that he was ill).

Well Ant. I think I might know to whom you are referring, but I really can't be sure. We shall see.

Thanks for pointing it out. I hadn't noticed.

And nice entry too!

So much for doing tutorials on hard surface modelling. I must learn not to look at the next challenge. I took one look at that candlestick holder and I could see Lumiere frantically waving his arms around. Let's put a quicky together, I thought. Cogsworth along took ages.
