Challenge 1059: The woolly monkey
And talking of new features in Photoshop… I photographed this woolly monkey in London's Grant Museum of Zoology, a fascinating collection that I've rarely used in the Friday Challenge before because of the difficulty of avoiding reflections in the glass cases. But now, with the new feature in Camera Raw, those reflections are gone in an instant – more or less. Except Photoshop left one of the reflections as a sort of misshapen eye patch. I particularly liked the monkey's expression, which seems to be a mix of terror and embarrassment. What can it have been caught doing? Here's the original, which you can compare with the processed high res download. ![]() |

Woolly's been stealing Porky's sweets again! Woolly is holding a Nulax bar for getting rid of the old stack. ![]() _________________ The grass is greener on the other side of the fence because there is more $hit there. |

http://vimeo.com/1095495624 He hasn't been quite caught but he has caused terror and embarrassment around the place! Loyd, even though he hasn't been caught, he still looks like he belongs on that photo. ![]() _________________ Wicked Witch of the West: I'm melting! I'm melting! |

Fun stuff from Loyd and Ant. Ann your still image is really great and a clever way to use him. I'm suffering rather painful and impaired vision from an eye infection at present. So I haven't really succeeded in pulling this one off. Very poor cut outs. MMA Cage Fight There is a popular misconception that MMA stand for Mixed Martial Arts. In point of fact that's not so. It actually stands for Monkey Martial Arts. ![]() _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

![]() ![]() ![]() Ulcer on the eyeball itself. Not much fun. But it seems to be clearing. I have a schedule of different eye drops at different times which is of truly Kafkaesque complexity and impenetrability. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |
