Challenge 1119: Pencil posts
I was cycling past this school this week when I noticed the rather cute posts outside, disguised as pencils.

What other classroom implements could be enlarged to further protect the schoolchildren from motorists?

High res is here.

When I was in elementary school they had a ‘show and tell day’. Everyone brought something to show and tell about. A family heirloom, a pet, a favorite toy, etc. I guess I assumed that it was also done in other parts of the world.

I love this one, especially how you totally nailed the expression on the girls face.

Litter bins! That's' really neat. I played with coloured sharpeners as well as the aluminium but couldn't find a good way to use them.

Had trouble finding a sharpener that worked well for this, finally got lucky with my final search.

Did you have to cutout all of those bikes David? Lot of work in that one.

For the most part, I found them on white. Had only to remove the original stands.

Re: Challenge 1119: Pencil posts
How many of you remember these? The old brass compass that held a standard pencil was very much a part of my early schooling before I graduated to proper drawing instruments.

[

There are six distinct different instances of Rotate Object used on the compasses. I don’t think this image would have been possible any other way without porting from 3D. (By the way I discovered that you can duplicate rotatable objects and rotate each duplicate independently. Means you only use credits on the original creation. The copies are free.
