Contest 29: Chelsy boots
The English have an unnatural interest in their royals. When Prince Harry, second in line to the throne, attended a fancy dress party dressed as a Nazi, it made all the front pages. But how were the other guests kitted out? This time last week I was working on seven montages of party guests in costume for a Sunday newspaper. Finding pictures of all the guests was no problem - except for Harry's girlfriend, a South African disco babe by the unlikely name of Chelsy. The only decent picture of her is owned by the News of the World, who wanted £7000 for its use. So I had to make do with this rather murky papparazzi shot of her, snapped through a car window. Think you can clean her up and add a touch of glamour? Choice of body and setting is, of course, up to you. The high res image is here. |

Ok folks, I am not up on politics in the UK, but I did hear about the crude dress of Harry at the fancy dress party. Chelsy, must have had a bad connection when Harry called to invite her. If I spelled or used Crimey incorrectly it is because I have the US version of PS. please forgive me. A very special thanks to Maiden for providing the image of Harry.I could not have finished my idea without her help. PS: If you think you see something of Chelsy's body it's just your imagination. _________________ -Never met a PS'er I didn't like- Will Rogers |

I had a bash and put her on the telly. This was a herd one and had to really 'cheat a bit'. I'll have anotherr try I think. _________________ BJ - Photoshop driver with 'L' plates |

If this doesn't give you nightmares... Funny how Harry looks more and more like Art Garfunkel as he gets on in years. |

Blimey Brian that's definitely a scary image to behold - Art Garfunkel or Rod Hull missing an emu I ask you? _________________ mad as a badger and twice as furry |

Heres a quickie from me.... Isn't it strange that the older Harry gets the more he looks like he's Dad.... EDIT - Oh and before its mentioned by anyone who insists on absolute perfection (glancing in Steve's direction )... Chelsy is supposed to have an Adam's apple, not that I am making a social comment on what attracts Army Officers or anything _________________ "She had lost the art of conversation but not, unfortunately, the power of speech." Re: Contest 29: Chelsy boots
This turned out to be a tricky one! As I knew it would, really, but it's an interesting exercise in how much can be recovered from a seemingly impossible image. As I should have expected, most of you completely subverted the point of the exercise! MJ's subtle entry shows the errant prince reflected not only in the window, but twice in Chelsy's sunglasses - nice touch! And I'm pretty sure you've whipped that top off her, MJ, although as you say it could be my imagination. But "Crimey"? What word were you aiming for here? A cross between "crikey" and "blimey", perhaps? Be off with you, and watch a few old St Trinians movies. A cracking good image from maiden, with costumes that fit these heads perfectly (and I promise I won't ask how you did your research). Chelsy's head is full recovered, and the colouring and shding match the body absolutely. Fantastic work, Becky. A charming vignette from NW Rain takes a different approach. Knocking back a picture to black and white is a good way of dealing with the colour issue, although as costumes go this one's a little minimal... BobbyJo, a great idea and a good fit between the body and the head. Marking out a horizontal line on that background, to give Chelsy something to sit on, would have helped greatly here: and perhaps the shadow hugs her body a little too closely. Good concept, though, the TV theme works well. Sometimes an entry really cracks me up, and Brian Garrison's just hit the spot. Fantastic reconstruction work: the heads slip onto those bodies perfectly, they both look really great. Funny how you can spot the Queen's dowdy clothes anywhere, and Philip's daft pose is a real classic. Excellent work, Brian, what a great gag! I love topical jokes, and Tabitha has got it spot on. Love the camouflage makeup! A really fine job, very funny and well accomplished. If it had been me, I'd have stuck some breasts on her - it's a tricky thing to do, but worth the effort. Hmm, I can feel another Challenge coming on… Tweaknik, should I recognise the girl in the car? I'm sure it's probably someone really famous, like Shirley Temple or Britney Spears, but I just can't place her. She fits well, although I'd have added a lot more shading at the top of the head, and maybe smudged out the hair a little on the sides. A novel approach, once again. Great work, everyone. |

I know this is being added after the final comments but my 4 yr old daughter has helped me with some of this image and she wanted me to enter it, on pain of her having a tantrum !! _________________ "There are only two things a child will share willingly; communicable diseases and its mother's age." It's, ahem, Eva Braun. I started on a reconstruction of the original picture, but due to the low contrast of the original, the JPeg encoding had left very severe artifacts. I think it would need totally repainted, which I might still do if I get the chance. |

Aha, Eva, so that's who it is. Lovely girl, strange taste in men. |
