Contest 43: election fever
Well, if you're not aware of it, next week's the general election here in the UK, when the nation gets to vote for whichever bunch of losers it has the least contempt for. (I'm feeling somewhat disillusioned with the political scene at present, as you might have guessed.) So this week I'd like you to do something political, without going out of your way to offend other forum members. The best I can provide you with is this picture of Downing Street - you'll have to Google the rest yourselves. See you next week, when the results are in! |

At 16 you have a vast brain capacity.....you probably have a lot of spare room in "the mind". |

In a strategic move to show Labour is ready to make tough sacrifices, the British prime minister ordered the military remove some of his prized possessions from Number 10 Downing Street. |

I had a cracking time in NYC. Nice people and good fun. Wish I was there this week to get away from this election business

Re: Contest 43: election fever
Glad the election's over - it feels like it's been going on for months, and I suppose in a way it has. Neal kicked things off with a great montage of Blair moving his fluffy toys out of Downing Street. Great expression on Blair's face, and those guys are really holding the toys convincingly! A really great job, expertly accomplished. Great rain effect in BobbyJo's entry, and it's good to get yourself in there! The neon lettering is well constructed, but there's something wrong with the way it goes behind the lamp that I just can't put my finger on. Too well defined, perhaps? But a convincing day for night effect all round, so well done there. …and it's Neal again, with a fine political tussle to round things off. This is great stuff! Who are you, Neal? Do you do this for a living? You need to fill in more details in your profile! Sorry if most of you were uninspired by the election. I know how you feel. |
