Contest 93: Exterminate! Exterminate!
The new series of Dr Who has just started on the BBC here in the UK, and it's looking better than ever. I'm sure the daleks will make an appearance shortly. Trouble is, these mechanical beasties really aren't cut out for planetary invasion. They may have fixed the problem of them not being able to climb stairs, but frankly, they stick out like a sore extra-terrestrial. So here's your challenge: make the daleks appear in a scene in such a way as to make them blend into their surroundings. How might they best disguise themselves? High res is here.  |

Enough chit-chat. Since I know nothing about Dr. Who or Daleks, I was not sure of where I might go with this one. Since I avoided last week's challenge, I certainly could not avoid two in a row so here is mine uninfluenced by any other entries.

Hello. I'm new and I thought I'd pop something in here before everyone else does and their excellence puts me off. Hopefully I've adhered to all format and dimension standards. Anyway, Daleks know that to succeed, they should assimilate early.  |

Been away a while, (you know , that work stuff we have to do now and then to help pay the bills) and have been looking over the last few challenges, a lot of great work has been done, and i think this week will produce even more. Anyway here is my effort. By the way thats a great first post fitzpas, and may i be the first to welcome you to the friday challenge. The dalek thought he would take time off from chasing the good Doctor to pursue his other hobby, in the water ski display team.  |

I watched Dr. Who years ago until the actor was somehow replaced by someone else. Nice lighting on that stefan. I think those are two males.

Thanks for the feedback Pierre. I did think of including something in the background but thought it would distract the viewers attention from the foreground action, or even just clutter the image. |
