Contest 170: The witching hour
So, Hallowe'en is nearly upon us - the time when children dress up as witches. What's less well known is that this is also the time when witches dress up as ordinary people. So where can we find a picture of a witch and an ordinary child? Step forward The Wizard of Oz, of course. Here's what I'd like you to do: turn Dorothy (Judy Garland) into a witch; and help the Wicked Witch of the West, played by the estimable Margaret Hamilton, to remove her make-up. Don't work on this past midnight! There are spooks about! High res is here. |

Well... how cool is this? I was down several weeks without a computer and then the last couple of weeks been busy with other work... But what a surprise when I saw this week's challenge! Here's something I finished for a contest on another art site, when you see it, you'll understand why! http://hi-liter.deviantart.com/art/On-the-Outskirts-67609912 (be sure to click on the thumbnail to view larger). _________________ Drawing attention to what otherwise might be overlooked... emphasizing things that matter. |

Re: Contest 170: The witching hour
Anna, I had to withdraw from the courses due to a minor health problem. So now I have more time for artwork, Photoshop, and Illustrator. I would like to know how you get that "clean" look, do you use a special sequence in layering? Or is there a step that I'm missing which has to do with the various sizes of each imported image? Thank you. Abby-Helen |
