Challenge 832: Meet Joey
Another one from the Ipswich Museum, this case of antipodean animals featured a remarkably cute baby kangaroo.

Do you think he needs to be released back into the wild? Or could his charming features lead to movie stardom?

High res is here.

Hmmm. He is cute. Have to re-create his tail. Or maybe a Corgi marsupial?

Oh, I'm sure you can manage to graft a tail on.

Re: Challenge 832: Meet Joey
If I go the movie route it could be a tall tale.

I have a great fondness for the music of "Waltzing Matilda"....

Lovely Loyd but it's wrong. I tried A minor E minor on the guitar and it sounds nothing like Waltzing Matilda...

Re: Challenge 832: Meet Joey
Movie stardom was not quite what Joey had hoped for ........

Re: Challenge 832: Not an entry
A little historical footnote to my entry for those of you who may not be familiar with movie archives and history, the black and white background to my entry is the filming of the real MGM lion.

More music.

Please forgive me if you find this just too tasteless.

Re: Challenge 832: Meet Joey
I've done a music video, sent Joey back to the bush, and now offer in pure foolishness, an old un-released movie... hmm, what next?

Better than Chicken.
Sorry I couldn't help myself when I remembered this old photo that I took in Australia about 15 years ago.

Well ....... Yes .... and No

I don't know how well Rolf Harris was known in the 'States but there is an unpleasant subtext to this image.

Just Google his name and all will be revealed .........

Re: Challenge 832: Meet Joey
Joey makes a terrific monster. His pose really is Godzilla like. You've captured the trashy movie poster look too.

Well that information certainly changes my 'perspective'. Never heard of the guy... the news from Australia that is broadcast here is usually limited to significant world events such as the bushfires..

I never know what may show up in my backyard...

(An ice storm in October decimated many of the trees in my yard, I saved a few limbs for an impromptu wildlife feeder.)
