Still some work to do before it flies, though. _________________ Time flies like an arrow but fruit flies like a banana. |

Re: Challenge 846: Plane restoration
I could have sworn that I posted this a couple of hours ago but it seems to have vanished. So if I am double posting please forgive me. This is really not my kind of challenge so, as in my previous submission, I am kind of skirting around it. Best effort from me for this week. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 846: Plane restoration
Absolutely brilliant work restoring the plane Dennis, Gordon - remarkable outcome. Very clever Frank :)Rick looks very proud of his achievement! David, the greenhouse plastic covering is excellent. Doug, beautiful atmospheric image. I decided to enhance and build on it's dilapidated state http://vimeo.com/518029630 _________________ Dorothy: Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore |

Anna, I'd be proud if I had done any one of those vignettes just as a still frame. Terrific! _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 846: Plane restoration
Trying to create that plastic nearly brought me to my knees. I tried everything. Plastic wrap filter just didn't cut the mustard. Finally I solved it with the help of a nice blonde lady .......... _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 846: Plane restoration
Thank you all for you comments Gordon, that is fabulous. Didn't even occur to me to include additional wreckage from the plane. It's so obvious now David, thanks for explaining how you did the plastic. To me, it looked like you had cleverly used the dodge and burn tools but the dress works even better. _________________ Dorothy: Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore |

Re: Challenge 846: Plane restoration
Very nice / realistic Gordon. When I worked in Labrador we had a large map on the wall depicting a large # of these "known" crash locations who never quite made it back to the airport during the war. If i remember correctly it was circa 50 +. |
