Ω my god! The shock generated by this series of parallel alternating puns about a bus with no conductor has the direct power and capacitance to induce an arcing desire to vault over any impedance or resistance and transform my usually dimmed and grounded trickle of energy into something more signal and electrifying.

But I must insulate myself before I blow a fuse and get charged with battery by the circuit judge and thrown into an ever ready cell with no contact like a common joule thief. I am so wired and incandescent I need to switch off and power down.

I make that 37!!

Watt a phase I am going through!! (39).

Let me be quite positive about this, if you continue to pylon these dim puns it will spark a series of negative charges being made which may ampere your case of mental battery. Anode you would not like to spend a night in the cells for this so I will just short-circuit all the other shocking puns and direct my current thoughts elsewhere.

If you must come up with more please do as fuse possible.

These all came free of charge from my LGBTQ sibling - she’s a transistor

Same here, Gordon. You made a good job of it though. I am going to give it a coat of matt paint.

Wait a minute - that’s cheating .... oh yes, of course

Re: Challenge 857: On the buses
Nearing completion of final testing in Canada, this high-tech mass-transit vehicle will soon be seen on the streets of London. Note that no fossil fuels are required, and low-voltage electricity is only used to initially power up both Moose for a three-hour shift.

So far, no Moose has been seriously injured during testing...

I know, I know... I stated that I was finished, but the stormy weather cancelled my plans for the weekend and I had little else to do.

Loyd, we have had similar ideas this week but the Moose gets first place, without a doubt. I roared with laughter when I saw that.

Right you are Anna, as a matter of fact I was considering the double-decker bit when I was blind-sided by a multiple of moose.

Re: Challenge 857: On the buses
Yesterdays round of silly puns gave me an idea!!

Consistent with their desire to create a bright new Britain based on the mid 20th century HM Government proudly announces the all electric Troll-eBus.

For non Brits, Britain used trolley buses in London from 1931 - 1962.

Re: Challenge 857: On the buses
We finally got streetcars, completed in 2018... we're a little behind the times in Oklahoma City...

Just for the record: The only correct plural of moose is moose. Sometimes, people add an S to moose, but that is incorrect. Moose derives from Algonquian, a Native American language.

Re: Challenge 857: On the buses
Now that's a little different Loyd. That's what we call a tram. We have those here in Brussels. They run on rails. Hence the single wire, as the rail is the second conductor.

Trolley buses had no tracks they were rubber wheeled. This is why they needed two pantographs to two separate wires. It was up to the driver to stay within a certain distance of the overhead wires so as not to part company with them and disconnect. Something which did happen from time to time. A long extensible pole was carried so that in the case of mishaps the pantograph arms could be re-positioned on their cables. I remember riding on these very well.

I also remember riding on London's trams but they disappeared when I was still a young boy in 1952. Trams came back again to London in a modern form in 2000.
