Thanks everyone for the positive comments. 
Following David's suggestion, I have created a static. On a pedantic note though, my swans were well under construction when Mariner put his version up. 
Here is my third version (static):

Number of entries, an alternate perspective: For 2022 I have started a self-imposed limit of weekly entries to seven. A normal challenge is a week long, since this challenge is three weeks long (7 x 3 = 21), I still have twelve to go.    |

I think this works really well. I found the animated swans on static water rather disturbing. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

I take it by that you mean the base "2" shaped swan? Not what I did to it? Yes. I thought "that must have taken him hours, I'll just check the net". Your glass swan was the first to appear. Good idea though, and still hard to get right. My own idea (later) has taken me three days, and it still isn't very good. Oh well. |
