Re: Nuts!
Yeah, I heard about that. Totally unexpected, to say the least. |

Re: Nuts!
I was told by an Apple salesperson, that Apple hit a roadblock with designing a G5 laptop. The G5 runs too hot. (The G5 dual-processor is water cooled.) Apple may be looking at Intel for new answers. |

Re: Nuts!
The worst part of it is OS X may become 'PC' compatible, then there will be problems. _________________ A happy-go-lucky chap, always dressed in black |

Re: Nuts!
Isn't OS X compatible with Windows? I thought you can run Windows programs on it. Or do you need some software that lets you run Windows? David, didn't you just buy a G5? If you only waited, you could have bought Apple's G6 with OS Windows. Why jump into the future when waiting on shore brings it to you with the next tide. |

Did you know Microsoft owns a large portion of Apple? _________________ -Atomic |

Re: Nuts!
Absolutely not. You need virtual PC to run Windows apps. There are versions of things like M$ Office though.
There is and will not be a G6, the name comes from the processor, so who knows what it'll be called when Inhel is inside - curiously (and rather ominously), if all goes to schedule, the first Mini-Mac with an intel CPU will be out on the 6th of the 6th '06... _________________ A happy-go-lucky chap, always dressed in black |

Re: Nuts!
An apple, possibly. M$ held around 5-9% of shares at one point but no longer have any financial concerns in the company. _________________ A happy-go-lucky chap, always dressed in black |

Re: Nuts!
Are sure... I didn't check up on this information for awhile, but I assumed their stock grew bigger. I mean they did make Ipod Windows compatible, and stuff like that. _________________ -Atomic |
