Re: Nuts!
Yeah, I heard about that. Totally unexpected, to say the least.

Re: Nuts!
I was told by an Apple salesperson, that Apple hit a roadblock with designing a G5 laptop. The G5 runs too hot. (The G5 dual-processor is water cooled.)

Apple may be looking at Intel for new answers.

Re: Nuts!
The worst part of it is OS X may become 'PC' compatible, then there will be problems.

Re: Nuts!
Isn't OS X compatible with Windows? I thought you can run Windows programs on it. Or do you need some software that lets you run Windows?

David, didn't you just buy a G5? If you only waited, you could have bought Apple's G6 with OS Windows. Why jump into the future when waiting on shore brings it to you with the next tide.

Did you know Microsoft owns a large portion of Apple?

Absolutely not. You need virtual PC to run Windows apps. There are versions of things like M$ Office though.

There is and will not be a G6, the name comes from the processor, so who knows what it'll be called when Inhel is inside - curiously (and rather ominously), if all goes to schedule, the first Mini-Mac with an intel CPU will be out on the 6th of the 6th '06...

An apple, possibly. M$ held around 5-9% of shares at one point but no longer have any financial concerns in the company.

Are sure... I didn't check up on this information for awhile, but I assumed their stock grew bigger. I mean they did make Ipod Windows compatible, and stuff like that.
