Hi everyone! 
I'm not sure if this has already been posted somewhere, apologies if so. This is a website that really helped me out with Photoshop. When I first got the program I found it terrifying (as opposed to now; mildly horrifying) and I really didn't feel able for it, so I decided to pick and choose what kind of bits I wanted to learn about to start off with. Good-Tutorials.com has a tutorial for so many things it's creepy. They vary in complexity and techniques, but I found it an invaluable resource before I could afford to buy proper Photoshop books. Even now I often drop in just to see what's lurking about. They also have sections for Illustrator, Flash and oodles of others, so if you're bored some day have a look. Have fun!
