sketching "a very simple tutorial"
the basic here is to open a document that you want to sketch make a duplicate layer of the document, change the mode to grayscale but don't flatten the image, apply invert to the layer above or the dupe layer and change the layer blend mode to "color dodge", then apply gaussian blur on it thats it. for further tweaking here is a little twist using cs 4 adjustment layers 1. open the document you want to sketch 2. make a duplicate layer of the document 3. select the background layer and apply "Black n white" adjustment layer on it (check the "Use Previous layer to create clipping mask" box.) 4. select the "layer above or the duplicate layer" same with the background layer apply "Black n white" adjustment layer on it (check the "Use Previous layer to create clipping mask" box.) 5. then apply "invert" adjustment layer on it (check the "Use Previous layer to create clipping mask" box.) 6. change the layer blend mode of the "layer above or the duplicate layer" to "color dodge" 7. apply gaussian blur on it 8. the twist here is you can adjust the sliders of the "black n white" adjustment layer until desired result is achieve ![]() _________________ "the closer you get to the meaning the sooner you'll know that you're dreaming" |
