Re: It's Here!
I ordered my copy at W H Smith three weeks ago. Even then they gave me a delivery date of 13th. October.

Let's hope the lack of books on the shelves is due to the book's great success.

It seems a lot of our international members have already received their copy of this book - can anybody comfirm that it's just us poor Brits who seem to be missing out?

OK, spoken to the publishers. The book was printed in Canada, and because it wasn't time sensitive (ie, not tied to a specific release of Photoshop) they've shipped it by regular freight rather than by air. They allowed six weeks but it hasn't turned up yet! Icebergs ahoy, anyone?

Canada? That makes sense. Must keep the carbon footprint to a minimum!

Well, it makes sense for readers in the US! Most books these days are printed in China - what does that do for our carbon footprint?

Well mine arrived today. All the way from Little Rock and still cheaper than buying here in the UK.

Still not here - still not yet dispatched - still running out of time for the Amazon's second deadline (20-29 Oct) - well over 1 month in order -7 Sep 2008- and still no book! I could have swam to Canada and back then back for some pancakes and maple syrup in the time it's taking Amazon to supply a book!

Re: It's Here!
Just received an e mail from Amazon to say that they have dispatched the book. Hopefully the postie will get it to me before I disappear off to Sweden for 7 weeks! I'll need something nice to read while I'm there.

Re: It's Here!
I'm feeling somewhat left out here - I keep checking with Amazon and all it says it "Dispatching Soon" and there is only 5 days left of it's extended second deadline! But you say, Gordon, they have dispatched yours I'm pleased for you but very annoyed with Amazon especially as I've been very patiently waiting since 7th Sept.

****Update**** Finally received my book eventually - got an email late last night to say it had been dispatched and it arrived this morning.

Re: It's Here!
At last! I ordered it through Waterstones and at long last it has arrived. Now all I need is a nice warm fire to read it in front of - any offers?
Looks great, and will post on Amazon.

I ordered mine through Waterstones, so with a bit of luck I should get a call from them soon.

Re: It's Here!
Many thanks to those of you who have contributed reviews to Amazon.com. There are no reviews on Amazon.co.uk yet - if you're willing and able to, I'd love to get some on there to give this book a bit of a kick start!

Many thanks

Steve
