Activity 03.12 - Line action and texture
Hi everyone, Just looking for abit of guidance. I'm working through the "Alice through the looking glass" section and have come to abit of a problem and can't seem to recreate the image shown in step 5. It always seems to look like this after I set an "overlay" mode on the brick texture. Any ideas because this is driving me mad!  |

Your Screen shot is rather small to be able to see and read the details. Any chance you can give us a larger one? (e.g. after captured, from PS, use Save For Web Devices and set size to ~800 and adjust the quality until about 97k, save, and then repost the larger pixel version but smaller jpeg screen shot). I'm not sure, but when I make an adjustment layer, I always change the layer to have a Clipping Mask using >Create Clipper Mask so that it only applies to the layer(s) underneath want it to apply to, otherwise it zaps, uncontrollably to the whole set. |

Hello, It looks like you have set Texture 2 to Overlay (which is the leather texture) rather than the brick texture. If you put the leather texture back beneath the brick texture and then change the brick layer to Overlay it should work. Well it did when I tried it. |

My mistake for choosing the wrong texture to have Overlay, however when I rectify this, all I end up with is the picture in step 3...I still can't seem to get the picture in step 5 (when you cut out from the brick texture). Any ideas? Thanks |

Oh nevermind, I've done it! It had worked, I just needed to set my shadow to make it more obvious. Thanks alot for the help. |
