My attempt at Sam Spud
My monitor calibration is weird, so it'll be interesting to see what this looks like on here. ![]() |

Good work, Kate! Looks like you've got everything figured out here. Your shadows could be a little stronger, and those beams of light coming down from the lamp should maybe fade away a little towards the bottom - otherwise, great! |

Re: My attempt at Sam Spud
Looking good Kate! What size is everyone working at with these pictures? I went all out at about 4000+px at 300dpi!, this eats up memory but if I ever want to print these pictures then they would come out at about A2/A3. My advice to any new people is start as big as you can. It's better for a picture to be too big than too small! ![]() _________________ “Art Is Never Finished, Only Abandoned.” |

Thanks Frank and Artwel. I usually do them quite small, but then I don't print them out - they usually go on my blog. |

Re: My attempt at Sam Spud
Hi Artwel, I started the first chapter with the resolution of my monitor, 1920x1200. But now, working on the Still Life, the dimensions are 5760x3600 at 72 dpi (no printing). So reading your topic above, in future I think I'll better set the resolution at 300 dpi. One never knows... My compliments to Katew. You're very good with lights and that's an important part of every (Photoshop)-artwork I'd think. |
