Chapter 7 - Futuretech
First I had difficulty with the side grip. I managed to do it, but not all by the book (point 5 & 6). ![]() |

Very nicely achieved! I like the shine you've got on the bottom panel, and that alien ball on the right. The only thing I'm not sure about is the drop shadow layer style on the rising bubble vial, top right: the chrome cage wants to look as if it's in front of the glass tube, and that shadow makes it look like it's behind it. |

Thanks for your constructive criticism, Steve. I see what you mean. However, after I sent this project, I saw the work of Joey - http://www.howtocheatinphotoshop.com/cgi-bin/simpleforum_files/attachments/futuretech_web.jpg - and found her product the best of all FutureTech contributions. She puts the glass bubble windows BEHIND the white frame, which I find an even more realistic choice. |

Yes, she does - and that's exactly as it should be. But in your version, it appears that the windows are in front of the frame - and that's what I see as the problem. |

Nice Alien. I also had a bit of trouble with the Grip when I did mine, I tried to follow the instructions but got confused somewhere and created it in a slightly different way, you can probably tell if you look closely! _________________ Quote of the day.. Abselutely right Steve. But I coudn't see this effect in your book eighter. I think this is the way it (almost) should be. Thanks for your response, Artwel. ![]() |
