CHAPTER 9 MY ATTEMPT AT YOUR STILL LIFE
Have finished all nine chapters. I took the watch from chapter 4 (desk drawer) and the outdoor scene from chapter 8 and added it to the back wall. Added the shading to give the feel that they are lite by the candle.

Oh, that's good! I like the way you've mixed in elements from different chapters in here, that works well. It's a little hard to see at this size, though; try using File > Save for Web to save a larger version - you'll find you can lower the image quality a lot without making the image look bad, which means you can post a much bigger image. Thank you Steve. I'm really enjoying your books. I am now ready to start your book Art and Design in Photoshop. Attached is a larger view of my image. The back ground color and smoothness is not coming out at all what it looks like in Photoshop on my monitor. Thank You Leon

That's a lot clearer! Yes, of course, there will be some image degradation, but I can account for that. Don't forget that with a single light source, the book and glass should throw shadows on the table. And look at the lighting of the skull more closely: inside the eye sockets, for instance, you have the highlight on the wrong side - that region would be shaded from the candle light. |

Nice project Leon! Like the wood texture and the pages shown through the foot of the glass 
Yes, Steve's 100% book for us is like a wizard's conjuring book. I even made a shortcut to put a 50% gray Hard Lighted clipping layer above the currend layer to use the Dodge & Burn tool like Steve describes so often in his book. |
