The biggest problem I had doing this tut was step 12 thru 16. Everything went accordingly until step 15..........I had three beautiful light rays - and three very white vertical rectangles (in place of the red QuickMask bars). Very frustrating - couldn't get rid of them without losing the light rays also. Bummer, huh? Any suggestions on what I'm NOT doing right? VERY frustrated.....Joey |

Not sure I understand the problem, Joey... you had three "beautiful light rays" and three vertical rectangles? I don't see how you can end up with both... are you able to post a screenshot, or explain in more detail? The image looks fantastic, by the way. |

Unfortunately I flattened the image without saving a duplicate (a bad habit of mine) so I can't post a screenshot. However, when I tried duplicating the process I think I solved the problem. I might NOT have made "three BLACK vertical rectangles...." 'cause it worked beautifully this time! Would that have been the cause? By the way - wish I had gotten this book eons ago - I'm loving it!! Glad you're enjoying the book! And be sure to make full use of this forum if you get stuck anywhere. Sounds like the black rectangles thing is the answer! |
