The Attic

Good work, Frank! Looks like you've got all those techniques down just right. I like the extra chaos here, it adds to the sense of it being a real attic. 1. You need to watch the shadow direction on the Beaver Bank Crossing sign. The one that's leaning against the wall looks as if the lettering is recessed, rather than embossed - and that's because the light is clear on the right of it. A good reason for keeping everything in groups - or converting to Smart Objects - so you can make these adjustments after you get the objects in place. 2. The reflection of the birdcage is in front of the candlestick. And the reflection really does need to be limited to just the glass area! 3. To make the picture frame look less as if it's straight up against the wall, angle the shadow away from the top. |

thanks for taking the time to have a look Steve -- agree with your remarks - such a large project it's easy to overlook a few things - I plan to rework those points probably tomorrow. Frank |
