Chp 2 finished - at last
I have had the book for a long while and I have had the video tutorial since it came out. However having no artistic talent at all I have only dabbled up to now. However I decided I needed to know more about PS rather than just fiddling around so instead of tackling the challenges I took on this challenge. This is my best effort - warts and all. I have to say that I only got this far because of the video tutorial. Steve effectively held my hand every step of the way! The gentle sweep of the brush to produce shapes from flat objects still defeats me, though. It has been a great learning experience (wish I could remember it all) but it remains to be seen whether I can tackle Chp 3 with just the book. Perhaps I should go back to How to Cheat for a while. Hi Angela - good job! I would encourage you to continue working the chapters.....indeed, they can be frustrating, confusing, and may cause a few gray hairs, but in the end, what you'll gain is invaluable! I managed to get through the entire book - do I remember it all? Oh heck no! Glad you managed to get through it, Angela! And I agree with Joey - now that you've seen you're up to the task, it's worth trying to persevere with the rest of the chapters. I've seen plenty of your Photoshop work in Friday Challenges, and I'm sure you have easily enough skill to complete the book. |
