How to use the archives
This section is for Forum members to post images that were lost when the Forum was hacked. Here's how it works: 1. Choose the artwork you want to send. 2. If it's a Friday Challenge, first create a new topic with the name of the Challenge and, if you can remember it, the number - assuming it hasn't already been created by someone else (and please check first). 3. If you're able to do so, post the original Friday Challenge entry first. 4. If the topic for that Friday Challenge has already been created, upload your image to that section. 5. If you want to upload artwork that wasn't part of a Friday Challenge, then I'd recommend uploading it to the Reader's Gallery as usual. Hope this makes sense. Let me know if you think I should modify this in some way. |

Me too...I got lost on point 2: did you mean the current Friday challenge or one of the Friday challenges lost in the two year gap? ![]() |

Re: How to use the archives
No its the old lost challenges. Problem is I certainly never recorded the number and can only even guess at the challenge name from my filename. Oh well lets see what I find. I'll do my best. I suspect I'll remember some. If a poster is the first to post for a particular challenge do you want the original starting image as well? _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

I've got the numbers and names of the Challenges I have done in the last two years, but not the starting images, if that is of any help. |

Just seen Steve had already foreseen this. Managed to re-read his instructions in a less confused frame of mind this time. ![]() _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: How to use the archives
Ok I am posting a few now. I have done my best to get the challenge date from my file dates and the challenge name from the original image file (where available). Posted in chronological order (sort of). Haven't a clue about the challenge numbers. It is a surprising amount of work to get all this together and collated so I am putting up a total of just the ten or so images that gave me the most fun. Not necessarily the best at all, but the ones I found most satisfying and enjoyed doing most! _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

[EDIT] I have copies of most of the original FC's going back several years, so if someone wants one or more of them please let me know and I will email them to you. |

Re: How to use the archives
So you want to change the title of your new topic? Easy! Just go into the very first entry you made in your new topic and edit the title. In this topic How to use the archives I would have to be logged in as Steve, then, at the very top of the screen, I could modify the title. Please forgive me for stating the obvious. |
