2 DEC 2016 - Vegetarian Shoes
This challenge started with my sending Steve a picture taken in Amsterdam of a shop selling Vegetarian Shoes. Although the meaning is obvious I couldn't shake the image of shoes tucking into their greens and suggested it to Steve. Steve gave this a wonderful twist by asking us to envisage what carnivorous shoes might be like. Silver buckled biker boots and super high thin stiletto heels have a popular association with violence and sadism. This led to me to envision packs of these like street gangs as our inner cities deteriorate. From here it was but a small step to a surreal Attenborough wildlife documentary on these semi wild scavengers. Be warned these are wild carnivores, and carnivorous nature is bloody, savage and merciless. This is nature at its most raw! For all it's nastiness, and despite having an absolute horror of violence, I had such fun with this!  _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |
