Introducing... How to Cheat in Photoshop CS6

It is with enormous pleasure that I can at last announce the next edition of the book...

How to Cheat in Photoshop CS6

I've done a lot of editing and rewriting in this edition, which now contains over 130 pages of new and amended material. Highlights of the seventh edition of the book include:

An additional 90 minutes of tutorial videos, bringing the total to over five hours
A splendid selection of 100 new royalty-free photographs for your own use from image library 123RF. These include actions shots, shots from behind, and a terrific array of emotions displayed on multiple faces - perfect for bringing life into your montages
Full coverage of all the new features in Photoshop CS6, including four at-a-glance pages highlighting the best of the innovations
Detailed explanations of how to work with the entirely new 3D Layers interface, with associated tutorial movies explaining the procedures
New Friday Challenge tutorials - if you've entered the Friday Challenge recently, there's a fair chance some of your work may be included in the book
Many, many new tutorials, tool and process explanations, and several new interludes
A fresh new look - typographers among you will be glad to learn I've finally ditched Rotis as the text font!
All tutorial movies now in higher-quality H.264 MP4 format for your continued viewing enjoyment - and I've also sorted out the issue that meant some edits remained in the movies, even though I thought I'd cut them out.

All in all, this is a major update of the book. As ever, though, I do need to point out that this is not a completely new book. It's an update to previous editions, and much of the material will be familiar to you if you've bought the book before.

In order to fit so much new material in, I've had to prune away much of the earlier stuff. But almost all the excised pages have been included in PDF format on the accompanying DVD, so you'll still be able to read your favourite tutorials. In addition, I've kept the tutorial movies for the 3D Layers features in Photoshop CS5, since it's so different to the CS6 implementation.

Try to order at Amazon UK, but keep getting problems paying with my creditcardnumber. Searching now to order it from another source. Maybe soon on Ebay (PayPal).

It is ages and ages since I last posted here, but I forgot my log on details and there is not one of those 'did forgot your password' gizomos. Persistant trial and error won out this time though.

My copy of How to Cheat is CS4, and I am pleased as can be to see there will be a CS6 version, although disapointed at the lead time. I'll be in the UK in August, so will get a copy while over there.

By coincidence I discovered today that you deliver comments after each Friday Challenge. I was very much surprised and read your good and helpful criticism at my work with a large interest. Your concept is simply ingenious!
Your book (in French) is always on my desk. Your “L’art du bluff avec Photoshop CS5” is my Bible!!! It is the best book that I know and your Friday Challenge a really great hit – for me a genuine challenge …

Thanks, Linda - I'm glad you find it useful! As to when the French edition will be published, that's really out of my hands. It all depends on the French publisher deciding when and it they want to do it!
