Venus and Jupiter + Mars and Saturn
This northern hemisphere, sorry southern, but you get great others. So Venus and Jupiter get closer from our view. Mars here now, the red/orange "star", and Saturn too, just about see a smudge of rings. This is just Venus and Jupiter responding to our sun, err I don't have any special equipment ..... sorry about quality.... |

For some reason it would not upload yesterday, Edit update 14:15 well it did to server but the linking hypertext script was created wrong for some reason. Try just once again, but probably not very informative, needs some imagination added ![]() Had problems with this too so edited the hypertext script manually, as you do ![]() |

I 'think' I've seen seen these out to the west and they're incredibly bright. Seeing planets in our solar system is quite exciting, but have to say that astronomy is not one of my interests. I bet the guys with the super powerful telescopes are in their element with these two so close in the sky. Nick |

Here's a better one from Marek Nikoden in Poland ... obviously with much larger aperture, zoom and tripod than I used. Some other interesting links also within the explanatory text, which include additional images. http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap120318.html |
