Sarcophagus
Difficult photograph. Taken today, just a moment ago, at a museum in Leiden. Much light from the right, sarcophagus standing in the shadow. Couldn't have taken it without Photoshop. ISO 400 - Bias -0.33 - F4.44 - Spotmetering - FocalLength 60mm. ![]() |

Re: Sarcophagus
Nice detail and exposure is spot on. Shame about the setting and that bar running through the top portion of the image. Nick |

... and isn't that exactly what photoshop is for, fixing such things? Be good for a FC ![]() _________________ Quote of the day.. "Photoshop isn't really meant to be used for drawing".. |

Re: Sarcophagus
Hi guys, Thanks for your criticism. Shame about the setting indeed and the exposure wasn't spot on, but just very dark, I didn't want overexposure from the window to much. The latter, this I find an arbitrary issue. If I would only need a sarcophagus to use in some montage you're quite right Artwel. But this is a photograph, taken at a specific time and place. And it would (in my opinion) be forcing reality if I would remove that bar. In this case I only blurred the background for some depth of field. FC ![]() |

Ah, FC, stupid! Could have known that. Here is the original RAW-file, converted to JPEG and reduced. ![]() |
