The Pleasures of Cycling?
I love cycling, but sometimes hell. Rant: Why aren't there more cycle friendly roads. For example, around Birmingham so many arterial roads blast through, M6, A45, M40, M42, M50 where can you cycle safely if you want to go A to B. And don't talk about cities. Note the sign at the bottom and smashed up Arco safety barrier. Its not just the UK, get terrified in France, Spain and Ireland, but there are more minor road options. Never drive close to a cyclist when driving please. There are so many holes to avoid and the turbulence smashes you off balance and the noise terrible. I much prefer my Jota120 motorbike on balance, control the event horizon, forward, without concern for what is behind me which cannot see. Rant over. ![]() |

The Netherlands know how to do it the best and Germany close. |

That looks like serious bike jam. Not sure what is going on there. I've been to French week event where get 13,000 cyclists and can get busy at stages, but more random and space than that! ![]() |
