A trip to the California Academy of Science Museum
Two weeks ago, I spent the weekend in Millbrae, California acting as caretaker for my friend's husband, Larry, who suffered a traumatic brain injury a few years ago. He is high functioning, but does need some supervision and really can't be left alone for more than a day. When I wasn't driving him somewhere (I told him to navigate and he never once gave me bad directions), I noticed he would watch the Discovery channel, so I asked him if he would like to visit the California Academy of Science Museum in San Francisco if there was a next time I took care of him, mostly because I want to see their new skulls exhibit. He got very excited about the prospect. My friend told me that Larry raved about how much fun he had with me. Apparently, all the other people who have caretaken him just let him watch TV all day and don't interact with him at all. Next weekend my friend is going out of town again and asked me to watch Larry again. I told her about the museum plan, and she thought it was a great idea. I have noticed that some of the images for the Friday challenges come from other members. I do have a camera and can take pictures but where would I submit them? -Sara _________________ I'm still learning. |

Sounds like a great idea to me. People usually email images straight to me when they have FC ideas. One thing I'd ask: rather than just photographing interesting views or objects, try to think of what the Challenge would be that accompanies them! |
