PixelSquid renewal
The cheap first year has come to an end. Just been informed that I can renew my subscription for a 69$ per year fixed lifetime subscription (50$ less than the current normal subscription). In the last 12 months I think I have used it maybe half a dozen times - if that. On the face of it it looks to be an unnecessary expense - on the other hand the collections are getting better. I am dithering .......... anyone ready to give me a push in either direction ...... ? _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Hi David, I have probably used it less that you have this year so I didn’t think I would renew - however, having looked at the current content..I was surprised as to how much they have added since I accessed it last. So I ended up renewing. _________________ Dorothy: Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore |

Re: PixelSquid renewal
Hi David, I have found it most useful during the year. Like both Anna and yourself I don't use it quite as much as I thought I might but when I need it, I need it. Had the subscription remained at the higher level I might have reconsidered, though. _________________ ![]() |

Re: PixelSquid renewal
For someone like myself who is on "basic" benefit, $69 dollars is unaffordable; moreover, I can usually get what I want from the internet for free. I'm not over impressed with PixelSquid either! |

Re: PixelSquid renewal
Far be it from me to persuade anyone to spend more money than they have to, but I've found it an invaluable resource. The ability to use images from a huge variety of angles is very beneficial, and I've used it dozens of times in the last year. The range of images grows almost daily, and it's now my first stop for objects that would be impossible to find from the right angle. But then this is my job, so it's a legitimate business expense! |

Yes. Like most of you I decided eventually to stay with it for another year at least and then see. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

I too renewed even though I didn't use it a lot in the first year. I do like the option to use the objects from numerous angles. $69.00 USA turned out to be $88.78 Canadian. Will revaluate next year. |
