Folder Icons On A Mac using Mojave
If anyone is trying to make Folder Icons using Mojave and they are blurry the reason is they have to be made "square". I make mine 300 x 300 with a stroked border . Example as shown: ![]() |

Re: Folder Icons On A Mac using Mojave
I believe 250 x 250 is the 'proper' base size for an OS X folder icon and the system re-samples to several different sizes according to circumstances. But I guess as long as they are square the system will re-sample whatever you give it within limits. I am on El Capitan as my ten year old machine can't run Mojave. It's possible that with Mojave the default size has changed. Does Mojave allow officially for folder icons or are they still one of those 'hidden' features where you have to cut and paste them in the top corner of the folder's Info panel? Is there a reason for 300 x 300 or is it simply what you tried? _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

David, I'm not sure on the default size - I believe 250 x 250 is default - I decided to go with 300 x 300 . Apparently it's only Mojave that requires the icons to be square ( or they will be blurry). Yes, you still have to cut and paste in that "Get Info" top corner. |
