My photography
Helloo Well, it's been 8 months now since I took up my hobby of shutterbug. I'm looking for sincere, honest feedback from all quarters, and this seems like a good place to ask. Thank you. My pics http://www.flickr.com/photos/psychedelicamphibian/ Scott ![]() |

It was a real pleasure to have a look at your work Scott, I particularly liked 'Days Gone By', 'Warmth and Light' and that odd vertebrae-esque sculpture. It instantly made me think of a dinosaur! Thanks for sharing these with us. ![]() |

Re: My photography
Thank you for the encouragement and kind words. I am always thinking I can do better, or want to do more techiques that evade my expertise. My photography to me always fails in comparison to those that inspire me and I am constantly reminded how far it is I have to go to reach that standard. ![]() Mad Lep Thank you, I see you like textured work then? Most of my textured images are HDR, which isn't always the best approach. Cl&m&nt The technique I most commonly use is HDR. The textured images are images with a texture layer added on top (blend mode=multiply) and some Curves for added brightness. I am interested in high contrast BW, HDR, textures & long exposures mostly. Thank you ![]() Scott |

Scott, if this is what you have achieved in 8 months - id love to see what you are going to achieve in 16 months. Positively beautiful work. You have a genuine flair and natural talent for this. The one that sticks in my mind the most is "Warmth and Light". Keep it up and keep showing us your work. Brilliant. _________________ Dorothy: "there's no place like home!" |

Re: My photography
Having had a look at your pictures my advice to you is to give up photography altogether. Unfortunately, your pictures are superb and put to shame many photographers who have been trying for years to get pictures as good as these. You are merely emabarassing other photographers by your efforts here and it is unacceptable. Please destroy your cameras, lenses, computer - everything photographic - for the sake of the rest of us. On a more serious note, I enjoyed looking at your work because it shows genuine talent, a great eye for the unusual, a superb handling of editing - nothing looks out of place and all the editing is appropriate to the subject. Will you improve with time? I will certainly be watching you - if only to nick some ideas!! Great work so far and good luck - not that you need it. _________________ rob_stroud@yahoo.co.uk |

Re: My photography
Some lovely work there. Where do you live? I see a lot of them are taken in Bath, which is where I live. |

Re: My photography
Well done Scott, You will shame most professional photographers with these photos ,it's really nice to see pics of places that I like myself. Keep up the good work and don't go down the 'arty-farty' route, please. Cheers neale |
