Balloon ride
I couldn't have picked a better day for a balloon ride if I had tried. The balloon in the distance is flying over Bath, I was over Bristol. Definitely worth getting up at 5.30 for that!

Re: Balloon ride
Glorious. And there was me reaching for the Spot Healing Brush to get rid of that irksome spot.

Great aerial image Deborah. I still want to try it, but your timing looks perfect.

Fantastic Deborah! Was the balloon steady? You obviously were.

Re: Balloon ride
Wowee, Deborah! At first glance I thought it was an ocean scene......then saw the houses, etc. The midground, though..is that ocean waves, or mountain ranges? Looks like Tsunami waves! I love the almost monochromatic color....very soothing!
Oh, and I, too, thought the other balloon was a spot on my screen!

Re: Balloon ride
Thanks Nick - not brave at all, maybe if I had gone caving!
The balloon shows up a lot better at higher resolution!
Sophie, the balloon was so steady and the air so still you didn't know you were moving, all that and a glass of champagne.
Joey, you are right it does look like waves on the ocean, but it was a range of low hills with very low mist. And yes it was a very peaceful scene.
Thanks all.

Re: Balloon ride
Absolutely beautiful. I live in New Mexico, home to the International Balloon Fiesta in October and have taken two rides myself. Usually images involving balloons offer the viewer the brightly colored, "happy day" perspective on things. It is so nice to see a quiet and serene image with lovely tones.

Re: Balloon ride
Very nice Deborah. It's a lovely way to fly, especially on a morning like that.

Re: Balloon ride
Thanks Deb, Bristol hosts the International Balloon Fiesta in August, and yes normally very vibrant colours.
Thanks Gordon, may have to go up again one day.
Thanks Doug, not a patch on your photography.

Very peaceful Deb. Looks like the surf rolling in towards the shore. Beautiful
