Airship
This came rumbling around yesterday. Great machine. Filled with helium. Not like Led Zeppelin with Hydrogen... one of my favourite rock bands http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Led_Zeppelin, but don't mention them for WWI or horrible accident in US.

Maybe on its way to London Olympics while the weather good but still has 125 mls to go.... I can cycle faster than that... well maybe not in a headwind!
Sorry about the sky, its just water vapour after so much rain .....

Re: Airship
Hi Trevor
One just like that was flying over York tonight - it circled around for quite a while - but I didn't have my camera to hand as I was out for a run. I assumed it was taking aerial photos (or spying on us!)

Re: Airship
Hi Angela, what no camera when you are running!
York is a great place and worth taking aerial photos of, and running, but don't think I can hire an airship!
That could be cool though getting some of us HCIPS'ers to hire an airship over London during the Olympics and see all who come to join us.... cough ...etc! Maybe Gordon can get us a fly-past?

Re: Airship
We had a hot air balloon with 12 passengers hit power lines some months back. The basket burst into flames, and they all died. At least helium is non flamable

That was reported here too. I'm shocked. Normally the hot air balloons just have a very-very rough landing when things go wrong and the basket is your last refuge .... no further comment apart from my thoughts for them and family
