One of the oldest British cars
Photo taken at the Louwman museum in The Hague 1/25 sec - F2/35mm -0.33 EV - ISO 3200 http://www.louwmanmuseum.nl/asp/appmain.asp?appactie=collectieresultaat&vocasq=4&taalcd=en&menutype=sub A piece of text from the notice board: Although this 1897 British Daimler looks rather primitive, it was used regularly until 1924, which says something about the reliability of this car. This 6-HP twin-cylinder dates back to the first year of production. This makes it one of the oldest British cars. ![]() |

Sjef .. lovely to see such a wonderful machine. Reminds me of a happy day I spent recently at Beaulieu motor museum snapping pictures of cars ancient and modern. http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/attractions/national-motor-museum/motor-collection You have got very little noise for ISO 3200 ... what is your camera? Also, love the Chrysler purple station wagon with the colour matching stowed moterbike ... I want one of those! _________________ "The true story of a real fake" Catch Me If You Can |

Re: One of the oldest British cars
Hi BigVern, Well, it's inconceivable to see the tremendously amount of cars and motorcycles. On the website I saw the Brough Superior 11.50 Special Combination, which I'm longing to see in reality. It's the most expensive motorcycle ever made. I've had a few cameras with often a nice zoomlens but not long ago I switched over to the Fuji X100. Easy to carry and a camera to fall in love with (I did!) And not to bother about Raw anymore! See http://www.finepix-x100.com/en And to be honest, I used a beautifull plugin to get rid of the (little bit of) noise produced by the sensor: Noiseware Pro from Imagenomic: http://imagenomic.com/ But here's a 100% crop of the original picture. Steve, you can always take my photo's to use as a Fryday Challenge of course. ![]() |
