Thanks Loyd. I enjoyed making both of them even though the music box sequence took all of 10 days to render Not a good time to find that you have made a mistake and have to start all over again.

Thanks Gordon, same to you as well and all other members.
Fantastic work - looks professional to me - very impressive - obviously you are mastering HF and many of it's effects. Do you build some objects in PS from scratch?

Re: Merry Christmas to all at HTCIP
Thank you Frank.

I built and animated the music box and rotating tree in Cinema. Other models, both 2D and 3D, were sourced from the web. Photoshop was, of course, used and Hit Film used for compositing.

I tried to do some of the work in Illustrator but my CS5 keeps crashing because it doesn’t want to work with the latest MAC OS. I only use Illustrator to generate paths for import to Cinema so I don’t want to go over to CC just for the occasional path ... anyone got a copy of Illustrator CS6 for MAC that they no longer use?

By now this must be one of the most parodied photos on the web.

Gordon, Both videos are brilliant..however, its the music box one that left me mesmerised. It's enchanting. I can see why it took 8 days to render
